This simple, bucolic ideal seems very en vogue right now and is appealing precisely because it looks honest and slow. It isn't. The time, energy and money spent creating these scenarios (and my wanton contemplation of them) all equate a luxury not afforded to most.
I know all this and still find it an inspiring fantasy.
